Windhoek, Namibia. April 2017. A short film documenting the historic graduation of the nation's first class of home-trained doctors. This film was unveiled on a national stage at the famed ceremony, and aired on Namibian television nightly for one month in celebration for the nation. I lived in Namibia for four months writing and shooting this short film; I worked closely with students and staff at the University of Namibia to ensure the practice of respectful storytelling techniques. We also developed a program of skills transfer for the medical students to learn interview and digital storytelling techniques.
